Got your green on? Found a four leaf clover yet? Tickled a leprechaun until he tells you where his gold is? Well, you better get cracking! Cause it’s St. Patrick’s Day!!!!
Some of you might not have the full story on St. Patrick’s Day, so we’re here to set things straight:
Once upon a time, long ago in the far away land of Ireland, there lived a saint named Patrick.
One day, all the people in Ireland came to St. Patrick and knocked on his door. St. Patrick opened the door and exclaimed, “Top of the mornin’ to ya!” (cause it’s always mornin’ in Ireland.)
“Ireland has too many snakes!” exclaimed all the people in Ireland.
St. Patrick stood there scratching his head for a while. He wasn’t quite sure how he could help. After all, he was more into doing saint-things like reading and scratching his head.
But suddenly he got an idea. He stood up straight and exclaimed, “Wait here, everybody!”
Then he went back inside and closed the door. All the people in Ireland waited patiently. And a couple hours later he came back out ready for action.
And so, dressed in his new anti-snake superhero costume, St. Patrick proceeded to run all over Ireland, gather up all the snakes, and banish them to somewhere besides Ireland… We’ll say New Jersey.
All the people of Ireland were so grateful.
“Thank you, St. Patrick!” they exclaimed. And as a tribute, they gave him a Leprechaun with a pot of gold and a four leaf clover.
And that’s the true story of St. Patrick’s Day.
As a tribute to that fateful day, here are the Leprechaun Brothers singing St. Patrick’s favorite song:
